About Mid Grown Tea:
Mid grown or the Mid Country region is located at 2000ft to 4000ft above sea level. The teas that grow in this region has both high grown and low grown features since its location is in between high and low region. Thus, mid grown teas have similar characteristics with the high grown region and that is a significant symbol of mid grown teas. In addition to that, there is also a unique style of Mid Country tea. In Mid Country, tea is widely grown in the Kandy district in the Central region of Sri Lanka. The teas of the Central province come from estates in the 'Kandy' region and are particularly flavoursome; though, as with all teas, their strength is inversely proportional to the elevation at which they are grown. Kandv teas tend to produce a relatively bright infusion with a coppery tone. Though a little lighter than the low grown in the cup, they present a good deal of strength and body. The best tea of Kandy is produced during the first quarter of the year, when cool, dry weather sets in across the district. This FBOP (Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe) delivers a deep, full-flavoured cup.

Serving Instruction or Brewing Guidance:
Use one rounded spoonful of tea or 2gm of Tea in 125ml boil water per person. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes. This tea is best to enjoy plain or with milk.
